The TepeeThis is an 18ft traditionally designed Native American tepee that sleeps 6, one of which must be an adult. Three mattress beds are provided and soft furnishings to lounge about on. Children sleep on the floor on sheepskins. Board games, collecting wood, reading, story telling and campfires keep everyone busy.
The tepee is only available from the end of April to the middle of September and there is a small electrical heater for the cooler evenings. Outside there is seating around a firepit and a covered picnic table for eating at. You can cook over the fire with the traditional cast iron ware such as dutch ovens and skillets or if weather is unfavourable there is a nearby communal kitchen cabin (this has a gas cooker, fridge, sink, saucepans, enamel plates and mugs, cutlery). You will need to bring your own bed linen (sleeping bags and pillows), some extra logs/firelighters and charcoal if you want to use the BBQ. It costs £130- £150 (peak season) for a two night break and £50 per night thereafter. |
