Meet the Owners
Kenny and Linda Gilmore are the creative sparks behind Tepee Valley Campsite. Married for 27 years and Markethill-locals, their idea for the alternative campsite was born as a result of their own struggles finding unique experiences to share with their 2 children. “We firmly believe that the excitement of sleeping under canvas, lighting and singing around a campfire, cooking bacon, eggs and baked beans over an open fire and quality time spent playing board games, storytelling with mum, dad or even grandad and best friends all create lasting memories.” The couple began with the namesake’s tepee (a luxurious Native American-inspired accommodation) and gypsy caravan (fondly named Rosie Lee). The last 9 years of business, however, have seen the introduction of a variety of lavish accommodations: a large and small yurt, geodesic dome, and log cabin. An additional two accommodations - the Shepherd’s Hut and Abram’s House - were designed and handcrafted by Kenny on site, while Linda has lent her magical interior design touch to each and every one of the glamping options. |

The couple, alongside children Matthew and Katie, are involved in all aspects of the campsite - from grass cutting and site maintenance, to meeting and greeting visitors. They are dedicated to providing glamping experiences which will create real connections and lasting memories. From couples and adult retreats, to the families which originally sparked their idea, they are warm and welcoming to all who arrive in their serene, secluded campsite.
