30th October - 1st November 2019 This half-term, unplug from your screens and getaway to Tepee Valley for our very first Harvest Fest. This 2-night stay is all about celebrating the best parts of autumn: the crunch of leaves, crisp morning air, campfire light, the sprinkling of cinnamon through your hot chocolate and the returning vibrance of the starry skies. A perfect opportunity for families and groups to spend more time together and less with a WiFi connection. Activities During your time at Tepee Valley, we would recommend spending the daytime exploring the local area. Gosford Forest Park, for example, is a lush, leafy woodland waiting to be explored - take a few hours to collect as many different kinds of leaves as you can, or keep an eye out for the local deer and antlered stag. For more information on local attractions, please see here. As for Halloween night, you can find all the autumnal fun you could ever want right on the Tepee Valley campsite. Campfire storytelling On the 31st October, we have invited a storyteller to enchant us with tales of the autumn time and harvest season by the light of our campfire. Wrap up warm and hold your loved ones close for an evening of delight and silliness. Scarecrow making Have you ever tried your hand at making a smiley-faced scarecrow? Well, now is your chance. Use the clothes and materials provided by Tepee Valley to build your very own scarecrow for the harvest season. It’s all up to you whether he is happy, sad, silly or even a he at all! Pumpkin carving Carve gleaming smiles and goggly eyes into a pumpkin of your very own, with the pumpkins we will provide for every child attending. Treats without tricks Autumn is the time of the harvest and bountiful food and drink. It is bursting with rich flavours like cinnamon and nutmeg, and heart, warming meals to come home to after a crisp day exploring the outdoors. Local cafe Time Out will provide a range of seasonal treats for you and your family to enjoy during your entire stay with us. This will include all freshly made and home baked:
